How do I optimize the page settings of a Custom Page?
Optimizing your page settings is an important step for improving your store's visibility and ensuring it is effectively indexed by search engines like Google.
The General Tab includes key settings that affect how your page is displayed and accessed. Here are the settings you can configure:
- Page Title - This is the title that appears on the browser tab and in search results.
- Custom URL - You can set a custom URL to make your page more recognizable and SEO-friendly. A clean, keyword-rich URL improves search rankings and makes it easier for customers to remember.
- Visibility - You can choose whether your page is public or hidden from your store. For example, invisible pages are only visible to you.
The SEO tab is essential for improving your page's ranking on Google and other search engines. Here is what you need to optimize:
- SEO Title - This is the title that appears on search engine results pages. It should include important keywords relevant to your product.
- SEO Description - A brief summary of your page that appears in search results. This helps potential customers understand what your page is about before they click on it.

By default, your store logo will be used as the image when your page is shared on platforms like Facebook, X, and more. However, you can upload a custom image to make your page stand out.
Here is a list of things you can do with a custom page:
Create a New Homepage
By default, your homepage showcases all the products you have uploaded to your store. However, you have the option to replace your default homepage with a fully customized page that aligns with your brand or vision.
If you want to create a new homepage, you can follow the steps listed in this article: Change Your Store Homepage
Build a Landing Page for Specific Products or Promotions
When you upload a product, we automatically create a sales page that acts as a landing page. However, if you want a more tailored landing page, one that features multiple products simultaneously or highlights a special promotion, the best approach would be to create a custom page using the Store Builder.
Suggestion:
- You can showcase a product in your store using the Featured Product section. This will display Add to Cart and Buy Now buttons on your homepage, making it easier for customers to purchase and potentially boosting sales.

Set Up a Dedicated Page for Website Policies
Custom pages are a great way to showcase important information, such as your refund policy, terms and conditions, and more. These pages help establish transparency and build trust with your customers.
You can also use the custom page to create a detailed FAQ page to address common customer queries. This helps improve the customer experience by providing answers upfront and reducing the need for support.
Suggestions:
- You can use the Text section to add and format the necessary information to display your Refund Policy, Terms, and other website policies.
- Select the FAQs section to add and organize commonly asked questions for easy reference.
Once you have created dedicated pages for your website policies, you can easily add them to your Header section, specifically as part of your navigation menu. You can also add them as links in your Footer section for better accessibility. This ensures customers can quickly find the information they need.
Showcase a Portfolio or Reviews
Highlighting your portfolio or customer reviews is another way to build trust and credibility. When you create a dedicated page to showcase this, you provide potential customers with insights into your work.
Suggestions:
- You can use the Gallery section to display your work, the Testimonials section to feature customer feedback, and the Collage section to showcase videos, products, or collections.
- Additionally, the Text section can add details about your experience, skills, and background to make your portfolio more engaging and informative.
Announce Events or Webinars
If you're hosting an event, live webinar, or workshop, a custom page is a great way to share all the details. This page can serve as a hub where visitors can learn about the event, see the schedule, and even sign up if needed.
Suggestions:
- With the Basic List or Image and Text section, you can outline event details like the date, time, and topic. Feel free to use any other sections that would fit your needs.
- For sign-ups, add a CTA Button using the Text section and enhance the page with images or videos using the Image or Video section to make it more engaging and visually appealing.
Introduce Your Team or Business
Customers love to know the people behind the brand, so an About Us page is a great way to introduce your team or share what your business is about.
Suggestion:
- You can use the Text section to share what inspired you to start your business and what values you stand for. You can also add a personal touch by featuring a photo and bio using the Image and Text section.
Highlight your Blog Content
If you want a dedicated page for your blog, you can create a custom blog page to organize and display all your articles in one place. Showcasing your latest posts or featured articles can keep your customers engaged and encourage them to explore more of your content.
Suggestion:
Using the Featured Blog Posts section lets you display your latest blog posts or choose specific articles to highlight in your store.
