Connecting Your Stripe Account

To start selling on Payhip, you will need to connect a payment account with us. This can be either PayPal (personal or business account), Stripe or both.

To get started, click on “Account” in the top right of the screen and then click “Settings”. Once you’re on the settings page, select the “Payment Details” tab.

Scroll down to “Your Stripe account” and hit the button for “Accept Payments with Stripe”.


If you already have a Stripe account

If you already have a Stripe account, select to “Connect Your Account”.

You’ll be redirected to Stripe. To continue, hit “Sign in with Stripe to connect”. On the next screen, log into your Stripe account.

From the dropdown list, select which Stripe account you’d like to connect. If you haven’t already activated your account you’ll need to do that by filling in the form and completing the two-step authentication. Then click “Authorize access to this account”.

You’ll then be taken back to Payhip where you will see that your account has been successfully connected.

If you don’t have a Stripe account yet

If you don’t have a Stripe account yet, after clicking “Accept payments with Stripe” select “Signup for Stripe”.

Fill out your details, complete the two-step authentication and then click “Authorize access to this account”.

You’ll then be taken back to Payhip where you will see that your account has been successfully connected.

What will the customer see?

Once you’ve connected your Stripe account to Payhip, customers will see the option to “Buy with card”. Your customers don't need a Stripe account themselves, they can directly pay with their card. Payments made to you via Stripe will instantly be deposited into your Stripe account.
