Unpublishing Your Store

Sellers may choose to temporarily unpublish their stores for a variety of reasons. This could include the need to implement significant site changes, such as rebranding, or simply taking a break. Regardless of the reason,  it gives sellers the freedom to make the necessary tweaks and improvements while staying in charge of their store's activities.

Although we do not have a built-in feature to temporarily unpublish a store, we have come up with a workaround to address this issue in the meantime. In this article, we will provide a step-by-step guide to implementing this alternative approach.

Using a Custom Page

We recommend creating a temporary homepage for your store that features a holding message like "We'll be back soon!" or "Store under construction".

To achieve this, begin by creating a custom page first by clicking the add button.

The next step is to utilize the text section to include a message notifying your customers or visitors that your store is currently undergoing maintenance or is still under construction.

Lastly, designate the newly added page as your homepage by accessing the settings of your custom page and selecting "Set As Homepage."

Additionally, consider removing the "Shop" link from your header (specifically in your navigation links) to prevent customers from accessing your catalog. As an added precaution, you can hide your products to ensure they are not visible during this temporary period.
