Klaviyo
In this article, we will walk you through the steps to connect Klaviyo with Payhip.
Step 1: Access your Klaviyo Account
First, visit the Klaviyo website and sign into your account. If you do not have one yet, you can create a free account to get started.
Step 2: Generate your API Key
The API key enables Payhip to securely connect to your Klaviyo account.
To generate a private API key in Klaviyo, go to your account settings by clicking on your profile in the lower-left corner of the page. Then, navigate to Settings > Account > API Key and click Create Private API Key.
When generating a Private API Key, you will see three access level options.
If you want to grant only the necessary permissions for Payhip, you can select Custom Key, but make sure to enable read and write access for Lists and Profiles. Unfortunately, choosing Read-only access will not allow us to add customers to your mailing list in Klaviyo.
If your Private API Key is set up correctly for Payhip, you should see a message similar to the one below.
Step 3: Connect MailerLite to Payhip
Once the Private Key has been generated, copy and paste it into the corresponding field here on Payhip to complete the integration.
Step 4: Set up your mailing lists
Start by creating a list in Klaviyo, which is where your subscribers will be added to after a successful purchase. You can find detailed instructions for this on Klaviyo's knowledge base: How to create and add subscribers to a new list.
Once your list is set up, you can enable the Automatically subscribe customers to mailing list option for each of your products in Payhip. This will bring up a dropdown menu, allowing you to link the product to a specific Klaviyo list.
Step 5: Verify the Integration
To ensure the integration is working, please perform a test purchase to ensure Payhip and Klaviyo are integrated successfully. This should add your customers to your mailing list in Klaviyo.
