Mad Mimi is an email platform catering to the needs of online creators and entrepreneurs engaged in email marketing. The integration of Mad Mimi with your Payhip account streamlines the process of adding customers to your mailing list every time they purchase.

Step 1: Access your Mad Mimi Account
Integration with Payhip begins with having a MadMimi account. To create one, you'll need to sign up for their paid plans. If you already have a MadMimi account, visit their website and simply log in to get started.
Step 2: Generate your API Key
Creating your API key within your Mad Mimi account is a straightforward process.
You only need to access your account profile, which is available by clicking on the "Account" tab in the upper right corner of your Mad Mimi dashboard. You'll see the right-hand side panel, specifically the "Settings & Billings" section, where you'll find the API tab.
By default, a key is already generated for you, and you can easily copy and paste it into Payhip. However, if you prefer to generate a new key, you have the option to do so as well.
Step 3: Connect Mad Mimi to Payhip
To link Mad Mimi with Payhip, navigate to the Marketing page on Payhip and click on the Mailing Lists tab. You will see a "Setup Mailing Lists" button, which will trigger a window prompting you to choose your email service provider when clicked.
Please choose Mad Mimi from the available options, and you'll be asked to enter your Mad Mimi API key along with your account ID or username (essentially the email you used to register your Mad Mimi account).
Step 4: Set up your mailing lists
To get started, you will need to create a mailing list in Mad Mimi, which they refer to as "Lists." To do this, navigate to the Audience members tab within your Mad Mimi dashboard and click the plus icon. This action will allow you to create a new list directly.
Once you've accomplished this, you can activate the "Automatically add customers to a mailing list" setting for your products. This functionality allows you to assign a particular mailing list to each product.
Don't forget to click the " Save Changes" button at the bottom of the page after enabling the setting. This way, you ensure your customers are added to your selected mailing list after a successful purchase.
Step 5: Verify the Integration
To verify that Payhip and Mad Mimi are working harmoniously, it's a good practice to make a test purchase. If your customer was successfully added to your mailing list in Mad Mimi, this confirms the successful integration between the two platforms.
