Elastic Email

Elastic Email is a powerful tool for email marketing. By connecting Elastic Email to your Payhip store, you can effortlessly expand your email subscriber list. With this integration, every successful purchase made on your store will automatically add subscribers to your mailing list, allowing you to engage with your customers more effectively.

In this guide, we will walk you through the steps to connect Elastic Email with Payhip.

Step 1: Access your Elastic Email Account

Whether you're signing up for a free Elastic Email account or logging into your existing one, the first step is to visit their website. New users can register, while those with accounts can log in with their email and password to access.

Step 2: Generate your API Key

The next step in integrating Elastic Email with Payhip involves generating an API key.

To do this, go to your Elastic Email dashboard and click "Settings" in the left-hand panel. You'll find two options within API settings: Create an additional API key or manage existing ones.

If you don't have one yet, select "Create Additional API Key" and name it "Payhip." This will be the username that you'll need to enter later when setting up the connection. You can customize access restrictions to your preference, then click the "Create" button to generate the API key. Please keep a copy of the API key since it cannot be retrieved once you've closed the window.

Step 3: Connect Elastic Email to Payhip

When integrating an email service provider, you will need to access your Payhip account.

To do that, go to the Marketing Page and find the "Mailing Lists" tab. Next, click the "Setup Mailing Lists" button, and from the available choices, select Elastic Email as your email provider. The API key and Account ID or Username generated in step 2 will be asked during the process, so ensure the information you copied is correct before hitting the "Save Details" button.

Step 4: Set up your mailing lists

It's important to note that mailing lists are created within Elastic Email, not through Payhip.

To create a mailing list, access your Elastic Email account, navigate to the "Audience" section on the left-hand panel, and find the "Lists" tab. Creating a list is pretty straightforward - click the "Create list" button in the upper right corner, and you can efficiently manage all your lists from that page. These lists will appear as mailing options in Payhip.

To associate a specific mailing list with each product, you must enable the "Automatically subscribe customers to a mailing list" setting in the Advanced Options. This ensures that customers are added to the chosen mailing list after successfully making a purchase.

Step 5: Verify the Integration

It's recommended to carry out a test purchase to verify the integration of Elastic Email and Payhip. This step confirms that customers are efficiently and automatically subscribed in the mailing list upon completing their purchase.
