Flodesk

Flodesk is a powerful email marketing platform that allows you to create stunning email campaigns and newsletters. If you're using Payhip to sell digital products and want to integrate your Flodesk account, this article will walk you through the steps.

Step 1: Access your Flodesk Account

Connecting Flodesk with Payhip requires a Flodesk account. If you haven't created one yet, don't worry – it's easy to sign up for a Flodesk account. However, if you're already a Flodesk user, log in to your account.

Step 2: Generate your API Key

To set up the connection between Flodesk and Payhip, you'll need to generate an API key from your Flodesk account.

Please note that creating an API key requires a paid account subscription.

First, find the Integrations section by clicking your account profile on your Flodesk dashboard. This will take you to your Integrations page, where you can click the API Keys tab to create and manage your API keys.

Next, click the Create API key button on that page. You'll be asked to enter a name that is unique and descriptive. This ensures you know which application uses this key. 

Once you've completed this step, Flodesk will automatically generate the API key for you.

Step 3: Connect Flodesk to Payhip

Now that you have the API key, you can link it to your Payhip account.

To set this up, go to the Marketing page and open the Mailing Lists tab. Next, click the Set Up Mailing Lists button, triggering a pop-up window where you'll be asked to select Flodesk from the list and input the API key.

Remember to copy and store this key securely. Once created, it won't be viewable from your Flodesk account.

Step 4: Set up your mailing lists

The next step is to set up your mailing lists. Setting up lists will enable us to automatically add your customers to a designated mailing list after successfully making a purchase.

To get started, you'll need to create a mailing list within Flodesk here, which they call Segments in their platform.

Once you've accomplished this step, you'll need to enable the Automatic customer subscription to a mailing list setting to associate a dedicated mailing list with each product.

Step 5: Verify the Integration

A successful integration will trigger a notification on your dashboard stating, "You have successfully connected mailing lists with Flodesk. To confirm the connection between Flodesk and Payhip is working as intended, consider performing a test purchase.
