Connect your Mercado Pago account

Introduction

Mercado Pago is a popular payment gateway for merchants based in the Americas. Depending on your location, you can accept methods like credit card, Oxxo, direct bank transfers and more.

Requirements

  • Your business must be based in Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Mexico, Peru, and Uruguay
  • Supported currencies are ARS, BRL, CLP, COP, MXN, PEN, and UYU
  • The currency used in your Payhip account must match the currency in your Mercado Pago account

Setup

To setup Mercado Pago on your Payhip account, please take the following steps:

Visit your payment gateways settings page

Click on the  Connect button listed next to the Mercado Pago option

The next page will ask for your  Public Key and and Access Token. To find this information please take the following steps on your Mercado Pago account:

  • In the upper right corner of Mercado Pago Developers, click Log in and fill in the required data with the information corresponding to your Mercado Pago account.
  • Then, click on the Your integrations button located in the upper right corner.
  • Access your application or create one if you have not already done so.
  • You will find your credentials under the title Production > Production credentials, in the menu located on the left side of the screen.

After you've submitted the above you'll be shown that Mercado Pago was successfully connected to your account
