Running Sales

Introduction

Running sales is an important part of many businesses. Customers want to get a deal on special occasions, and to encourage more purchases it's very useful to run sales.

Subscription pricing plans and payment plans (like $10/m or $10 for 3 months) are not eligible for running sales at the moment

What do sales look like to customers?

The below is an example product page which is running a 25% off sale:

There are 3 components:

  • A timer showing the period left before the sale ends. This creates a sense of urgency and will help with converting visitors into buyers.
  • The percentage off discount this sale is offering
  • The before and after price so customers can see the difference 

How do I set up sales?

Visit your  Marketing page, click on the Run Sales tab and then click on the Run New Sale button to add your first sale.

You'll need to provide a unique name for this sale. Customers would never see the sale name, it's just for you to track the performance of this sale internally. If you're running a lot of sales then it can also help you distinguish between them.

The start date and end date fields are optional - leave them blank if you don't wish to set them. It's important to note that these dates are based on the timezone you set up on your settings page.

You can customize when the countdown timer should appear. By default we show the countdown timer if the sale has an end date 30 days away.
