Blocking Customers
No business owner wants to block a customer, but unfortunately, dealing with difficult and fraudulent customers is a reality that many businesses face. When a customer is causing issues that cannot be resolved, it may become necessary to block them from further interactions with your business.
How to Block a Customer
Payhip offers a simple and straightforward way to block a customer. Here are the steps:
1. Go to the Customers page on your e-commerce platform’s dashboard.
2. Find the customer you want to block by searching through your orders.
3. Click the " ..." button next to their paid button and select "Add to Blocked List."
4. Confirm the action by clicking the " Block Customer" button.
In the final step, we display a modal that prompts you to confirm that the payer ID associated with the PayPal account or card used for the purchase will be added to your store’s blocked list, preventing them from making any future purchases.
If you want to review the list of customers that you have successfully blocked from making purchases on your store, simply navigate to your Blocked List Manager page.
Once you complete these steps, the customer will be added to your blocked list and will not be able to make any future purchases from your store. Remember, blocking a customer should be done as a last resort when all other attempts to resolve the issue have failed.
How to Unblock a Customer
You can manage the buyers who you've blocked from repurchasing in your Blocked List. This page contains the names of all the blocked customers along with their Payer ID.
If you wish to unblock a particular customer, simply tick the checkbox next to their Payer ID and click the " Remove From Blocked List" button. A confirmation modal will appear, asking you to confirm your decision. To proceed with unblocking the customer, select "Yes, unblock" and they will be immediately removed from your Blocked List.
