Download a PDF on iOS or Android
If you've bought a PDF and want to open it on your phone or tablet, here’s how you can download and access it easily.
In this article, we'll walk you through how to download files on both iOS and Android devices.
Download a PDF on iOS
Using Safari
When you tap the download button on the download page, the PDF may open directly in your browser without being saved. To successfully save the PDF file to your device, you can follow the steps below:
- Tap the 3 dots button
- Select the Share option (square with arrow)
- Select View More, then Save to Files
- Choose a location and name for your file
- Tap Save
Using Chrome
When you tap the download button on the download page, a new page will open, and the file should begin downloading.
- From there, you'll be prompted to choose where to save the file (e.g., Files or Drive)
- Select your preferred location
- Once complete, you'll see a confirmation with an option to open the file
Download a PDF on Android
PDFs will usually download automatically to your Android device and can be found in your My Files or File Manager app.
If you would prefer to open or store it in your ebook reader, open the app and go to your library. From there, locate and open the PDF to add it to your collection so you can access it anytime.
You also have the option to save the file to Google Drive by using the menu option (typically found in the top-right corner) and selecting Save to Drive.
