Delete a Product
If you no longer wish to offer a product, you can either archive it or delete it from your account.
In this article, we'll walk you through the different ways to delete your product depending on the product type.
Archive vs Delete
You have two options when removing a product:
- Archive: Removes the product from your storefront but keeps it in your account.
- Delete: Permanently removes the product and cannot be undone.
How to delete a product
Delete from product dashboard
You can quickly delete a product directly from your dashboard:
- Go to your Products page
- Find the product you want to delete
- Click the three dots (⋯) next to the product
- Select Delete product
Delete from the edit product page
You can also delete a product from within its settings:
- Go to your Products page
- Click Manage on the product you want to delete
- Navigate to the Settings tab
- Scroll to the bottom of the page
- Click Delete Product
Please note that deleting a product is permanent and cannot be undone.
Frequently Asked Questions
Will customers still be able to access a deleted product?
No. Once the product is deleted, customers will no longer have access to the product.
Should I delete or archive my product instead?
If you need the product again in the future, it's better to archive it. Deleting should be used only for products you no longer need.
Why can't I delete the product?
Sometimes you may run into issues when trying to delete a product. If you've already tried basic troubleshooting (such as using a different browser or device) and are still unable to delete it, please reach out to our support team at contact@payhip.com.
Can I recover a product after deleting it?
No, it's not possible to recover a deleted product within the app. However, if you deleted it by mistake, you can reach out to our support team. While we can’t guarantee recovery, we can check whether the product can be restored.
